Hi everyone, I have tried knitting and crocheting with needles and hooks. I was not successful in that. I recently decided to try loom knitting and bought some of the rectangular looms. I have been doing some research online and watched a ton of YouTube videos. Since I am new I might get some terminology wrong and for that I apologize. I have seen a few different ways to cast on the yarn. E-wrap is the one I saw mostly. I was watching a lionbrand video and they casted on and knitted different than any way I had seen before. In this video they casted on one at a time and then knitted each peg one at a time ( so they would wrap one peg and knit it, wrap the next peg and knit it etc). The other ways I saw they did it all in a group (so they would wrap all the pegs at the same time and the go back and knit all the pegs at the same time). I hope that makes sense. So my question is: is it just a personal preference? Of do you have to use different methods for different projects or stitches? Also, I have noticed sometimes the anchor peg on the loom is used and sometimes it isn't. Is this also just a preference or does it depend on the project and stitch you are using?
Thank you so much, I apologize for the long post.
