Lori, the only leggings I've heard or read about are made on the blue kk. Unfortunately the directions has been really vauge. I've been looking too!

I would think that maybe you would just make them like you were making a hat on the KK round blue loom. But instead of doing the gather bind off, do a bind off that would leave it open at both ends. But that's just my opinion, I don't think i've ever seen a pattern.

The only concern I have is how loose the top and bottom would be. I thought you might want to rib stitch at the beginning and the end. The only other option would be make a mini-brim and run wide elastic through it. Just a thought!!

I would do a k2 p2 rib around the top and bottom to make it tight. I did this on a slipper sock and it worked great. the socks stay up just fine.

I agree with eliea.I made a pair but for the top and bottom I did 10 rows like this...knit one row purl the next row. They turned out ok.This keeps it from having the loose loops. Also I used fun fur with one strand of worsted weight for these 10 rows and 2 strands of worsted weight for the leg part.

Aww ladies, you guys are giving me too many ideas! I want to try to make leggings now, but I have to finish the baby blanket first! I have to at least finish the blanket before the kid is too old to use it anymore! LOL

I used that elastic thread with the worsted weight yarn when I made a pair of slipper socks. I only used it in the cuff part and it worked great. It keeps the yarn from stretching out of shape.

hmmm elastic thread, great idea. I haven't tried that, I assume you would just loom as normal with the thread/yarn for a few rows, or for the entire ribbing? I also needle knit and it seems to me that the ribbing stitches on the loom are MUCH looser than when you needle knit. But the elastic thread would help tighten it up.
