Well I got all my wool dyed. I am reballing some of it and the rest is still out on the line drying. I took lots of pics so I will post them later tonight. The dying was so fun!! We are parked at our friend's right now so I did it in their house. I learnt that I cannot do this in the rv lol!! It uses way too much water. Not too much of a mess though.

I have not tried knitting it yet. I have a few other projects to complete first ... and I need to decide what to make with it.

I am amazed all the ease of dying the yarn, I do have a question though, with using kool aid does it fade over time? how do you go about sealing the color in so it doesnt fade when washing or wash out? Lori

The instructions say that the dye is permanent but may fade if in the sun a lot. After you dye the yarn in the hot Kool Aid water you rinse it real good and then hand wash it one more time. This will take care of any bleeding that would occur later if you try to wash it.

I love this! I may have to gather up the courage and try it. Can you use anything else besides Kool-Aid?

The website said to use unsweetened fruit drink (Kool-Aid). I used the generic brand Flavor-Aid. You can dye with other things as well. I know Jane used Rit on one of her skeins. The Kool-Aid was fun though and very easy. Also easy to clean up. Check out the post with the instructions for more info.

Those are very pretty colors. I am allergic to wool, makes my hands very itchy.
