I finally decided to just jump in on the hat. I bought a skein of wool-ease thick and quick to try out. It was on sale so not big. I'm finding it difficult to remember where I am in the repeats even after marking my pegs. I've ripped out several times and started over one time. So I am not sure how this is going to look when I'm done! lol

On my loom I have another pair of socks, that are calling my name. I can't wait to get out of this cast, and back to looming. My hubby has a dog sweater on one loom and a scarf on another. Heather

What does it mean to "frog" something? I'm working on an afghan, have one panel, need to start the other one. Letting my fingers rest. I'm getting a HUGE callous on the side of my finger, where I rest my hook, and one on each thumb. Gonna have to start wrapping them with tape or something!

I have another question or two, lol. I've learned that the garter stitch is perfect for flat pieces, but what if it specifies a certain stitch, how do you keep that from curling? And, has anyone tried the snowmen that is on the provo craft website? It says to use a new sink plunger, I cannot find one anywhere now that I want one. I have seen them before, but can't find one now, even looked in Lowe's. Can you use something else?

I have no idea where to find a sink plunger. To keep from curling if the pattern does not tell you to purl stich you can throw a few in around the edges ... make a border with them. Frog=to rip out a project because of a mes up. Rip-it Rip-it

Frog is the term used for going back and ripping out stitches. Or unraveling work to a certain point. it's named after the sound a forg makes : rip it rip it! lol

Iam still making weekend socks for my mum as she like the way they don't cut into her legs does that mean they are a weekend project? Sounds great! Can't wait to see!

I had to rip out my work the first time, then started and got 2 rows in (after edge repeats) and realized that I had to rip that out since I did the pattern repeat wrong. I finally found the "hat loom" at jo-anns while out of town this weekend and purchased that. I think it will be less confusing when I start over on that loom as I will have the correct number of pegs and not have to alter the pattern.

What Am I working on? I'm starting the Schooner socks for a LAL (I'm behind in all my LAL's and loomClass projects) I've Bethany's booties casted on and ready from the GIP LAL Half finger gloves are hanging unfinished from another loom project LAL The other looms, I've frogged to start over. I haven't been able to knit since first week of Christmas and am regouping my projects and trying to do a teeny bit each night. REGARDING THE SNOWMAN: I have yet to figure out how to answer directly to another post, but this refers to the snowman and the plunger. I found a sink plunger at Target a couple years back. Don't know if they still carry them, but that's where I found one (not for the snowman-but actually for the sink problem at the time). Also-the snowman-some on the groups who have made these just used something else to weigh down the bottom. I don't know if it's the exact same snowman, but it might be an option. LindaJ

I started on a baby blanket for a friend today. It's the first big project i've ever done, so I'm kinda nervous. I'm just hoping it turns out ok.

I'm just finishing my second sock (Markman 8" adr fg), but I had to use 2 different looms (same guage). but I think the first one (Markman round 36 peg fg) is quite a bit larger.... so I may be ripping out and redoing :-) I'm also crocheting dishcloths. I haven't tried it on the looms yet. I also have a sock started on the Wonderloom efg. Having trouble with my tension, and have set it aside for the moment.
