Hi everyone, I wanna make this baby blanket I found on the Provo website, it's made using the blue rectangle loom. It says to wrap all the way around the loom, that part I get, but than it says at the end to do a double crochet around the edges to stabilize the loose weave. Well, my problem is that I don't know how to crochet a double crochet. I was wondering if you all think that maybe I could just do a garter stitch the first few rows to give it the same stabilization? Any help you all can give me will be greatly appreciated! ;D Thanks in advance.

I think that would work. I have done garter stitch edges on baby blankets before. I garter stitch the first few rows when casting on then I garter stitch the 4 pegs at the ends that will be the edging.

So I started on the blanket today! Argh!!!! I did 6 rows of garter stitch for the edges. OMG, i just realized that I didn't do the garter stitch on the first 4 pegs! Ugh, I'm so mad at myself, this will be the 3rd time I frog this project!!
